COURT HOUSE – The Cape May County 4-H Youth Development Program is accepting applications for the 2020 4-H Equestrian of the Year Contest. According to a release, applications are due by March 2, 2020.
According to a release, the contestants will be judged on a written resume and 4-H story, a personal interview and a four to six-minute stage presentation.
The stage presentation topic is “Learning and practicing good sportsmanship is important to all athletes, including equestrian athletes.
If an entrant is selected to be the 2020 NJ 4-H Equestrian of the Year, how would they use the title to strengthen good sportsmanship in the NJ 4-H Horse Program?”
The Equestrian of the Year will represent 4-H at events around the county and state and will be at the Cape May County 4-H Fair on July 16, 17, and 18 at the 4-H Fairgrounds in Court House.
Also, the winner will represent the county at the NJ State 4-H Equestrian of the Year Contest in August.
Applications can be picked up at the Rutgers Cooperative Extension Office at 355 Court House-South Dennis Road, Court House, New Jersey 08210 or call 609-465-5115, ext. 3606 to have a packet emailed.
