2019 Homeless Seminar Planned; Part II Building the Coalition

By Press Release

ERMA – Are members of the body of Christ doing what they were taught in Matthew 25? Many of them are trying in some respects, but are they also working together to pool resources and efforts, or are they each trying to be an island unto ourselves?

According to a release, at the first Homeless Seminar (Sept. 12) Rev. Jeremy Montgomery said before they do anything they should ask somebody, meaning they should share ideas and experiences with other people working toward the same goal.

Are they willing to join a Coalition of Concerned Churches and like-minded agencies and work together to serve the “least of these,” as Christ commands them to do?

If so, what will that coalition look like?

Attend and give input at Cape Hope’s second 2019 Homeless Seminar: “Building the Coalition,” scheduled for Nov. 14, at 7 p.m. at the Seashore Community Church of the Nazarene in Erma. This event is free and open to the public.

Since 2014, Cape Hope has been trying to alleviate the plight of the homeless by addressing immediate needs, by making referrals to governmental and non-governmental services, and by funding emergency housing, primarily with the use of funds from donations and grants.

Seashore Community Church of the Nazarene is at 446 Seashore Road, (609) 886-6196.

For information, call event organizer Christopher South at (609) 408-1144, or Cape Hope Director Denise South at (609) 827-1164. RSVP to Christopher South at south5859@msn.com.
