The Adult & Community Education courses highlighted in the booklet cover a wide variety of topics, from personal fitness to the art of sewing, each meant to work with a busy schedule and provide eager learners with the opportunity to explore something new. Enroll in one of the two featured programs with Cape Tech’s Post Secondary program:
Dental Assisting – Form the foundation for a career in dental care at Cape Tech. This is a full-time, 10-month program built to help you become a dental assistant working in the field with accreditation from the American Dental Association Commission on Dental Accreditation. Polish your skills with hands-on learning in chairside assisting, management, radiology, and bio-medical science. Finish your studies with a multi-office externship to have all the tools you need when you enter the workforce. In addition, Cape Tech’s Dental Assisting program can lead you to further roles in the dental field, such as hygienist, dentist, lab tech, or administrator.
Carpentry and Property Management – Build your future around the construction and maintenance of properties during Cape Tech’s 27-week, part-time Carpentry and Property Management program. Learn the ins and outs of infrastructure, including masonry, electrical work, and irrigation. Get hands-on experience in the construction process, beginning to end, on your own structure built throughout the course, from framing to pouring concrete. Certifications include OSHA 30 and Forklift Operator. Students of the program find employment as framers, deck builders, property maintenance carpenters, and many other positions across the construction field.
