Avalon Lions Helps Cape Hope Address Homelessness

From the Avalon Lions

In an effort to confront and help solve homelessness in Cape May County, Cape Hope, based in North Cape May has been able to rely on help from the Avalon Lions Club in the past. Now, the club has made a two thousand dollar donation to help in the effort. At their April meeting the Lions listened to Denise Venturini-South, President of Cape Hope explain the homeless situation in the county and the toll it takes on individuals and families.

Summer visitors to the Jersey shore are unaware of the critical need for affordable housing in Cape May County where the problem may be hidden but Cape Hope finds it exists in many offshore communities.

Both Cape Hope and the Avalon Lions are non profit, all volunteer 501c3 organizations. Different names same goals, helping their neighbors.
