American Legion Hosts Thanksgiving for Coast Guard Recruits

Jr. Vice Commander/Canteen Manager Jack Smith with the recruits.

Twenty Coast Guard recruits enjoyed Thanksgiving at Wildwood American Legion Post 184. They were treated to breakfast, hors d’oeuvres, charcuterie, dinner and dessert provided by Legion Auxiliary Unit 184. They watched football and played darts, billiards and shuffleboard; they particularly enjoyed bingo. Post Auxiliary President Beth Yeakel said: “I’m glad we could feed these kids who couldn’t make it home. It warmed our hearts to bring this back to the post.”
