In conjunction with Trinity Cathedral’s Sustainability Committee, ECVA NJ (The Episcopal Church and Visual Arts) invites artists across the Diocese to submit art on the subject of God’s Creation, and our role in nurturing, protecting and preserving it.
Christians are called to be stewards of Creation: to nurture, to protect, and to preserve it.
We are seeking both art that celebrates the natural world, and art that calls our attention to environmental issues.
Artists 18 years of age or older who are associated with the Episcopal Church may submit up to three pieces of original art in any medium, two dimensional or three-dimensional. Painting, Sculpture, Photography, Mixed Media, Fiber Art, Stained Glass, Collage.
Two-dimensional art must be framed and ready to hang. (Art which has been previously exhibited at Trinity Cathedral is not eligible.)
Although this is not a juried show, due to space limitations, the exhibit committee may need to select only one or two from the pieces you submit.
Please send a completed Entry Form along with digital images to ruth@councell.net (Digital images are preferred.)
Or mail your entry form with photos to Diocese of New Jersey, 808 West State St., Trenton, New Jersey 08618-5326 (Attention: ECVA) no later than March 12. Photos will be returned. You will be notified which pieces will be shown by March 15.
Entry forms may be obtained from Eileen Kennedy efkennedy@gmail.com or they can be downloaded from www.newjersey.anglican.org/arts
