Use good judgement when entering and exiting the ocean. Witnessed experienced surfers getting tossed into the shore break during Hurricane Erin on Thursday up and down the beach front. Broken boards, broken ribs, punctured lung and head contusions were reported at Poverty Beach. Mother Nature ALWAYS wins ! Increased height of beaches does not create a safe swimming or surfing zone by any means, quite the contrary. Where is the Beach Safety Committee, they went crickets!
