The problem with the memorial bench’s aren’t the 300+ of them around town it’s the placement of mementos that are placed all over them which prevents the benches to be used for what they were placed there for. People can’t or won’t sit on the benches with these mementos on them. How about just the bench and not the other stuff. It makes the promenade trashy. Let’s stick with the bench’s and forget the bottles, flowers, shirts, pictures etc.
