The fire department hater is back with the idea to do away with a paid fire department. To go back to all volunteers with a stipend will result in our home insurance rising and a possibility of more total losses from home fires. If you think rates are high now they will be enormous with no paid members. The CFO is playing with the numbers to try and cover the debt our present council have gotten us in.
