Kurt Vonnegut and his Handicapper General Diana Moon Glampers would be delighted to see all the runners and walkers wearing weighted vests in an effort to equalize their comparative fitness level with those less physically gifted. I guess that’s why these folks are wearing them. It certainly does not help them in any measurable way.
