COURT HOUSE – The League of Women Voters of Cape May County is sponsoring the 2019 Cape May County Freeholder Debate Oct. 29, at the Historic Courthouse Building, North Main Street, Court House.
According to a release, the event will be held from 7-8:15 p.m.
The four candidates running for office have all agreed to participate and will be in attendance.
The candidates are Gerald Thornton, (R), Marie Hayes (R) incumbents and challengers Elizabeth Casey (D) and Joyce Gould (D).
The public is invited to submit questions for the candidates in addition to those prepared by the league.
Questions for consideration may be emailed to the League of Women Voters website at capemay.nj.lwvnet.org under the tab “Contact Us” and addressed to Corinne Robinson, voter services director.
Questions should be submitted no later than Oct. 25.
The event is open to the public; seating will begin at 6:30 p.m.
