How Your Exercise Can Fund Breast Cancer Research
Wildwood Crest — On Wednesday, October 22nd, Janet Spada’s Zumba class presented Lisa Basmajian with a check for $700 to the Susan G. Komen Foundation, an organization that funds research in breast cancer. Janet collected donations from her exercise classes at the Dennis Township Senior Center, Samuel S. Devico Senior Center, Lower Township Library, and Wildwood Crest Library. She presented the check to Lisa, who has been fundraising with the support of the community for the past 2 years at her organic produce stand “Lisa’s Secret Garden” located in the Villas. Fundraisers like this encourage awareness, assistance and breakthrough research to end breast cancer.
