COURT HOUSE — The Middle Township High School Alumni Association is cancelling its annual scholarship dinner originally scheduled for June 5 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
This is not to say the alumni association is cancelling its obligation to award scholarships to deserving students.
This year more than ever before, scholarships will be much needed and appreciated by students and parents alike. With businesses closed and parents out of work, many families that will need these scholarships to enable their children to further their education.
The alumni association doesn’t want their plans to be put on hold so they are using this opportunity to raise funds for the scholarship fund.
Please give by any way you can and any amount you can. Please keep in mind that if you were to attend the event, it would have cost you about $100 for the evening with dinner, drinks, auction and 50/50 tickets. Please consider a donation similar to that. (The alumni association usually awards three $1000 scholarships and wants to raise at least that much.)
The trustees, the parents and the scholarship recipients thank donors for their generosity and support and look forward to things returning to normal and to next year’s event.
Please send check or money order to: MTHS Alumni Association, P.O. Box 133, Cape May Court House, NJ 08210.
You can also pay on-line at the Association website: www.mthsalumni.org. Go to Annual Dinner and hit the DONATE button at the bottom.
