Youth sailors from numerous clubs will compete in the Mid-Atlantic Yacht Racing Association’s South Jersey Summer Series Regatta hosted by the Greater Wildwood Yacht Club on June 26, at Wildwood Crest’s Sunset Lake.
The event draws over 100 youth sailors, ages 9 – 18, and their families from all over southern and coastal New Jersey. Sailing races are scheduled from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The community is invited to come out and watch the competition which will be visible from the park along Sunset Lake.
The Mid-Atlantic Yacht Racing Association is a nonprofit organization that coordinates and promotes the sport of sailing throughout South Jersey and the surrounding region. It aims to improve communication within the sailing community, provide education to advance the sport of sailing, and enable sailors’ opportunities to grow their racing skills and overall sailing acumen.
