Wildwoods Announce Winners of Annual Baby Waddle Contest, Baby Parade

The Wildwoods Annual Baby Waddle Contest and Baby Parade were full of loveable youngsters.

From Greater Wildwoods Tourism Improvement and Development Authority

WILDWOOD – The Wildwoods annual Baby Waddle Contest and Baby Parade were fun-filled events full of smiles and loveable youngsters from across the tri-state area.

The Baby Waddle, held on July 25, brought out speed-crawling babies and fast-waddling toddlers. Participants in the two categories – The Crawl and The Waddle – were encouraged by their parents to crawl or waddle from the center to the edge of a 45-foot diameter colorful parachute circle. The baby or toddler that made their way out of the circle first were declared the winners.

Alice Hagan of Whippany, NJ was the first-place ‘crawler’, and Ariella Mancar of Poughkeepsie, NY was the first-place ‘waddler’. Each baby’s family won a family 4-pack to Morey’s Piers and Water Parks.

This year’s Wildwoods Baby Parade, held on July 26, attracted the region’s most adorable children, along with creative floats, decorated carriages and wagons, and crowds of parents, family, friends, and vacationers – all taking part in the festivities and admiring the costumed youngsters. The Wildwoods Baby Parade has been a time-honored Jersey Shore tradition since 1909, and this year’s event demonstrated that this is still one of the Wildwoods’ most anticipated and popular summertime events for families.
