By Colin Russell, Rio Grande

To the Editor:

The Wildwood Sand Sculpting Contest, held in Wildwood Crest, is a truly captivating event that showcases the remarkable artistic talent and creativity of participants from near and far.

Each year, the sandy shores of Wildwood transform into an outdoor gallery, as sculptors of all ages gather to craft awe-inspiring masterpieces out of nothing but sand and water.

The contest provides a platform for artists to express their imagination and push the boundaries of what can be achieved with this humble medium.

Visitors and locals alike are treated to a visual feast as they witness the transformation of formless sand into intricate sculptures that tell stories, evoke emotions, and capture the essence of the beachfront community.

The Wildwood Sand Sculpting Contest not only celebrates artistry but also fosters a sense of community and camaraderie, as participants and spectators come together to appreciate the beauty of this ephemeral art form.
