WEST CAPE MAY – The Board of Commissioners has approved an ordinance that limits the number of cannabis retail licenses in town to one.

The ordinance, which was endorsed by the Planning/Zoning Board, was passed unanimously by the commissioners on April 24. The ordinance states: “No more than one Class 5 cannabis retailer license shall be permitted to operate within the borough at any given time.”

There is currently one holder of a Class 5 cannabis retail license in West Cape May, Shore House Canna on Sunset Boulevard. The ordinance makes Shore House Canna the exclusive cannabis retailer in the borough.
