VANDER DECKER, LOUISE K. Louise K. Vander Decker nee Ryan passed away on April 7, 2024. She was born on March 26, 1936 to John and Lillian (Buhr) Ryan in Elizabeth, NJ. They both preceded her in death. Louise met Robert when they were 15 and 17 years old. Louise was preceded in death by Robert on August 23, 2021. They were married 65 years and are now reunited. Louise was a dedicated wife, home maker and mother. She was both a Cub Scout leader and a Girl Scout leader. She also planned many cross country vacations with their family in a travel trailer and was her husband's co-pilot before the benefit of navigation. The couple lived in Elizabeth and Iselin, NJ and later moved to Wilmington, Delaware. They enjoyed vacationing in Cape May, NJ and traveled with The Traveling Gang. Louise was also a member of Limestone Presbyterian Church in Wilmington, Delaware. Louise is survived by her 3 children Robert Vander Decker Jr (Janice), Bethann Gallagher (Michael), Lisa Church Batzell (Daniel Sr.) and grandchildren Robert Vander Decker III (Kristy), David Clizbe, Matthew Clizbe, Craig Clizbe, Shelley Vander Decker (Joseph), Steven Church Jr (Sarah), Meghan Zeigler (Brian), Daniel Jr (Jasmine) and Dana Batzell. Louise had many great grandchildren and nieces and nephews that she loved very much. Louise was preceded in death by her granddaughter Rachel Louise Church in 1993. Louise passed away at North Cape Center with loved ones by her side. "The family wishes to thank the loving caregivers from Visting Angels that truly made a difference in mom's care".
