Thanks to funding provided through the Preschool Expansion Aid, the Upper Township School District will be offering a free, full-day preschool program for 3- and 4-year-olds in the 2025-2026 school year.
Children must be 3 by Oct. 1, 2025, but not 5 by that date and reside in Upper Township to be considered. Corbin City residents cannot be accepted.
The program is full-day, as mandated by the state Department of Education, and will follow the district calendar. Each class will have a maximum of 15 students and will be staffed with a certified teacher and an instructional aide.
Space is extremely limited, and entry is upon a public lottery.
For more information about preschool at the Upper Township Primary School, parents are invited to RSVP to an overview of the program that will be held on Monday, March 3, at 6:30 p.m. Lottery sign-ups are March 17 to 21; no sign-ups will be accepted after March 21. The public lottery will take place on March 25 at 6:30 p.m.
To RSVP for the open house and to obtain more information about the preschool lottery process, visit the Upper Township School District website, upperschools.org, or contact the school social worker, Jill Clark, at clark.jill@upperschools.org.
