UNRUH, KARL BARRY
Unruh, Karl Barry, 72, of Wildwood Crest, Passed away peacefully on September 12th at home. Fondly known as Barry by family and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Dorothy and Irvin and son Karl JR. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Susan. His son Chris(Jaime) and grandchildren Christian, Courtney(Austin), Jada(Zach) and Caitlyn and great grandson Roman. Sister Beverly and nephew Kevin(Natasha).
Barry was a lifetime member of the Wildwood Crest Fire Department where he served for 27 years. He had also entertained and served up countless breakfasts at the Atlantic Restaurant where they were enjoyed by locals and summer guests alike. He ended his cooking career at the Boathouse Restaurant where he enjoyed the friends he made there. He was the original homebody, content to spend his days with his family, cooking for them and making everyone laugh. He loved to fish and one of his final wishes was to get out for one last fishing expedition.
Funeral Services will be held 11am Friday Sept. 20 at the Ingersoll-Greenwood Funeral Home, 1201 Central Ave., North Wildwood, NJ where friends may call from 10 am. Interment will be in the Cold Spring Presbyterian Cemetery in Lower Township, NJ. Condolences may be sent to
