THOMASSON, CLAIRE E.
Claire E. (Franklin) Thomasson passed away peacefully at age 89 on October 16, 2024 surrounded by her family. Claire raised her family in West Deptford but in later years resided in Cape May, NJ. She is predeceased by her beloved husband of 63 years Harold (Limey), father Thomas Franklin and Mother Rose (Hoover) Franklin of Gloucester City, NJ, and her brother Thomas. Claire raised 5 children; Harold (Patrice), Thomas, Rose (Ray), William (Sharon), Mary Colleen (John). She had great love for her 14 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. She was Aunt Claire to many.
She was a beloved Gloucester City girl, and had great dedication to her Gloucester Catholic class throughout her life. After retiring from Visiting Nurses Hospice Care, she spent many seasons in Florida where she was a Cheerleader for Key Largo's “World-Famous Emergency Snow Removal team.”
Claire was a loving mother and devoted wife. Her departure leaves a mighty big hole in our family.
Relatives and friends will be received at the Spilker Funeral Home, 815 Washington Street, Cape May on Saturday (October 26th) from 11:00am until 12 noon. Interment will be private.
