SZETELA,GREGORY STEPHEN Gregory Stephen Szetela, of Cudjoe Key, FL, passed away on June 17, 2023. Greg was born on 3/20/1970 to Ilona and David Szetela in Englewood, NJ. After Greg graduated from Roxbury High School in 1988, he went on to study Electrical Engineering at University of Pennsylvania. Greg was self employed in the construction industry but also worked in the restaurant & bar industry (P.J. Ryan's and The Rocking Chair) in Avalon and Stone Harbor, NJ because he enjoyed a robust social life and hanging out with friends. He carried this on when he moved to the Florida Keys 5 years ago, where he helped rebuild and then later worked at Tonio's. Greg's love for the social life and meeting new people fueled his passion for travel and he travelled the world whenever possible. Greg was predeceased by his father David Szetela who passed away in 2018. He is survived by his mother Ilona and his twin sister Elaine, her husband Joe Holliday and their two children Thomas and Kelly. A Celebration of Life was held at Tonio's in the FL Keys on June 23rd and another will be held at Fred's Tavern in Stone Harbor on July 10th at 12:00 noon. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St Jude Children's Research Hospital to Treat and Defeat Childhood Cancer.
