STONE HARBOR – The special meeting of the Stone Harbor Council scheduled for Friday, Nov. 17, was canceled. Mayor Judith Davies-Dunhour said the meeting was cancelled due to an error in the published notice of the meeting.

The open public discussion of zoning issues in the borough, including the proposed merger of the Planning and Zoning boards, will now take place as a discussion item on the council’s work session agenda Tuesday, Nov. 21. The plan to introduce the merger ordinance on that day will be postponed.

Zoning issues have plagued the borough in recent weeks as members of the public raised concerns over the recently adopted lot grading ordinance, the introduced but not yet adopted ordinance on side-yard setbacks and the controversial proposal to merge the two boards that deal with land use issues.
