STARR II, ROBERT G.

STARR II, ROBERT G. Robert G. "Rob" Starr II, 52, of Lancaster, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 3, 2024, surrounded by his loving family at his home. Born in Lancaster, he was the cherished son of Robert G. Starr and his wife, Sue Starr, and Marie A. (Cranford) Starr and her partner, Al Black. He leaves behind his beloved wife of over 23 years, Nicole (Connors) Starr. Rob graduated from Hempfield High School in 1989 and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 1994. He dedicated his professional career as Director of Marketing and Member Services at Starnet Worldwide Commercial Flooring Cooperative where he had a major positive impact on the success of the organization. Although Lancaster was Rob's home, his heart belonged in Cape May, NJ, where he spent many summers boating, fishing, and enjoying the company of friends and family on the beach. His affinity for the ocean was evident in his dedication to a 120-gallon saltwater fish tank teeming with tropical fish, live rock, and coral. In his leisure time, Rob was a devoted fan of the Steelers, Flyers and Villanova Basketball and enjoyed virtual golf sessions with his buddies. His vibrant personality illuminated every gathering, and he delighted in entertaining others with his humor and dancing. Rob lived by the motto of spreading '"24/7 happiness," always ensuring those around him felt joy. Rob was a member of St. Leo the Great Catholic Church. He is survived by his loving wife, Nicole, and their two children, Jillian, and Colby Starr of Lancaster. He is also survived by his sister, Charisse Rudolph, wife of Gene; aunts and uncles, Roger Cranford, Raymond Starr, and Geraldine Rehm; step-sister, Yana Billet; and numerous cousins. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12 PM on Saturday, February 10, 2024, at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church, 2427 Marietta Ave, Lancaster, PA. Interment will be private, held at the convenience of the family. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects from 10 AM until the start of the mass. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Rob's memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 6704, Hagerstown, MD 21741, or the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation, 6520 N.
