Sports Gambling

By Joe Murphy, Town Bank

To the Editor:

TV is mostly a wasteland. Reality shows are scripted and acted. The only authentic reality shows are live sports events. Yet they are getting infected by selling gambling venues.

When the games have betting ads and announcers tout the betting venue, it turns games into only about gambling. This is why I push the mute button.

MLB (Major League Baseball) is run by money-grabbing hypocrites. Keeping Pete Rose out of the game proves this, while they allow the games to promote gambling. Rose should make televised ads for all the venues. Play ball.
