RIO GRANDE – Coming in on the coattails of a new Burlington store near the ShopRite in Rio Grande, Skechers is going to open a store right next door.
The next closest Skechers store is located in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware.
Skechers, headquartered in Manhattan Beach, California, was founded in 1992 and is currently the third-largest footwear brand in the U.S. The company started out making work boots suited for the “grunge” fashion popular at the time, and it moved into men’s streetwear. The company quickly expanded to include women’s and children’s shoes.
The Rio Grande Skechers is scheduled to open in October.
