Colleen Marie (Minster) Sherno, 67, of Villas, NJ. went home to be with the Lord on November 21, 2024, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born on January 18, 1957, in Levittown, Pennsylvania, Colleen was the beloved daughter of William S. Minster and Mary (Brown) Minster and a loving sister to Gary Minster Sr. (Sue Minster) She graduated from Pennsbury High School in 1975.
On February 26, 1977, Colleen married the love of her life, Michael R. Sherno Sr. Together, they built a beautiful life, settling in New Jersey and raising their family. A LPN, Colleen dedicated her career to serving others, working with Dr. Flick and contributing her talents as a medical transcriptionist for Dr. Facciolo and other physicians. She also gave back to her community through her volunteer work at Family Promise.
Colleen's unwavering faith was central to her life. She found great joy in attending church, participating in Bible studies, and living out her love for the Lord. Her appreciation for the outdoors brought her countless cherished moments from walks, sunsets at the bay, to fishing and crabbing, Phillies games and family camping trips, particularly the Sherno annual camping trip to Knoebels.
Colleen's greatest joy was her family. She is survived by her devoted husband of nearly 48 years, Michael R. Sherno Sr.; her children, Michael R. Sherno Jr., Daniel W. Sherno(Monica C. Young) Lauren A. Sherno, and Taylor G. Sherno Brau (Jon T. Brau) and her three treasured granddaughters, Kaylyn LaBov, Adley Brau, and Scottie Brau. Colleen's love, care, and generosity were felt by everyone she met. She lived a life of servitude, embodying the true spirit of compassion and kindness. Her family fondly remembers her selflessness, humor, and deep love for them all.
A celebration of Colleen's life will be held at Seashore Community Church on November 30, 2024 from 10:00-11:30 AM, with a service to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Colleen's name to family promise, Shriners, operation blessing. In honor of Colleen please be decked out in your finest Phillies attire!!
Colleen will forever be remembered for her steadfast faith, boundless love, willingness to do anything for anyone , and dedication to her precious family. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all those she touched.
