September at the Science Center: Monarch Madness, Da Vinci, and More!

  • Young Nature Lovers Story & Craft Time: Every Sunday from 9:30 to 10:15 a.m., Sept. 1, 8, 15, 22, & 29 – FREE!
  • Stargazing in the Courtyard with Dr. Frank Toriello: Saturday, Sept. 7 & 21 from 7 to 9 p.m.
  • The Art of Nature with art educator Peaches Lukens: Thursdays from 9:30 to 11 a.m., Sept. 5, 12, 19 & 26
  • Third Thursday Lunchtime Lecture: Thursday, Sept. 19 from 12 to 1 p.m. – This week’s lecture is by Monarch Program Director Mark Garland, who will speak about Monarch butterflies in Cape May. Sponsored by Homestyle to Go, a dining and takeout spot in West Cape May!
  • Monarch butterfly tagging demonstration: Thursday, Sept. 19 & 26 from 1 to 1:30 p.m. – FREE!
  • Monarch butterfly tagging demonstration: Saturday, Sept. 21 & 28 from 11:30 to noon – FREE!

Plus, mark your calendars for the party of the season on Saturday September 14 from 5 to 8 p.m., when the Cape May Point Science Center hosts “The Da Vinci Gala” benefiting both the Science Center and The East Lynne Theater Co. and celebrating long-time friend of the arts and sciences, Christina Clemans. Tickets are $175 each for a fantastic evening of live music by the Howard Street Ramble, dynamic entertainment, art and science demonstrations and so much more.
