SCHUPP, NANCY ANN

SCHUPP, NANCY ANN Nancy Ann Schupp, age 89, of Venice, Florida, formerly of Cape May Point, New Jersey, passed peacefully on May 31, 2024 in Venice, Florida surrounded by her three loving children. Nancy was born on July 21, 1934 to Sven Gustav and May Edith (Berglund) Nielsen of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She graduated from Drexel University with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration. She married Carl Frederick Schupp in 1965. They lived in Illinois for 20 years before moving to Virginia in the late 1980's. The Schupps retired to Cape May Point, New Jersey in 1998 where Carl was elected Commissioner and later Mayor, serving three terms. Nancy worked for many years as an administrative assistant for aerospace and defense companies. In her retirement, she was active at Cape May Lutheran Church and in many civic clubs and organizations. The Schupps final retirement was in 2011 to Venice, Florida. She split time between Cape May Point and Venice. Nancy is survived by her three children, Carl F. "Rick" Schupp, Jr. (Dr. Angie Schupp), Englewood, FL, Elizabeth Baxter (Tom), Pleasanton, CA, and Holly Schupp-Gorham (David), Aldie, VA, six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Carl, her parents, her sister Contance Botzer, and her brother, Gary Nielsen. A Celebration of Life will be held on June 8th, at 12:00 PM, at Cape May Lutheran Church, 509 Pittsburgh Ave, Cape May, NJ. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be sent to Family Promise, keeping homeless families together during their time of crisis, 505 Townbank Road, North Cape May, NJ, 08204.
