SALVATORE, SALFIE J.

SALVATORE, SALFIE J. Salfie, Salvatore J., "Sal", 75 of North Cape May, NJ passed peacefully, with his loving family by his side on Tuesday, February 20, 2024. Sal was born in 1948 to Joseph & Sperina (Vallese) Salfi of Woodbine, NJ. Sal was one of 5 brothers. He is survived by his brother Nicholas (Michelle) Salfi. He is predeceased by his brother Frank (Theresa) Salfi, Joseph (Ellen) Salfi & David Salfi. He is survived by his wife, Harriett (Gilbert), 3 sons, Michael (Louise), Matthew & Mark, 5 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Sal was a natural born mechanic. He grew up working at a gas station and later opened his own auto repair where all 3 of his sons worked. Salfi's Auto Repair was the go-to place in Avalon for over 20 years. Sal would always go the extra mile to make sure your vehicle made it back to you (sometimes delivered) in much better condition than when he started, even if it was just for normal service. Sal was an avid bowler, golfer & motorcycle enthusiast. He traveled all over the country competing in bowling competitions. He also owned numerous sports cars & motorcycles, which he rebuilt from scratch. Sal enjoyed spending time on the waterways of Southern NJ with family & friends on his boat, going out to a nice dinner, cruising the back bays or viewing the fireworks on the 4th of July out in the Atlantic Ocean. Services will be Friday, March 1, 2024 at Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Ave., Cape May Court House, NJ 08210. Visitation from 10 to 11 a.m. Service will begin at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at St. Elizabeth Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please make a donation in Sal's name to either The American Cancer Society (donate.cancer.org) or The American Heart Association (heart.org). Condolences at www.radzieta.com
