SALERNO, ANNE-MARIE Anne-Marie Salerno, 76, of Cape May Court House passed away peacefully, on April, 20th 2024, at home, surrounded by her family after a 13-year battle with Alzheimer's/Dementia. Anne was born in Clifton, NJ on February 24th, 1948. She was the daughter of the late Carmen and Helen (Marino) Larocca and sister of late Eileen Lucchini and Charles Larocca. After she married her sweetheart, Joseph C. Salerno, they moved to Wildwood, New Jersey in 1971 to start their first motel business at the Le Voyager. Then in 1988 they moved their wealth of experience to the IMPERIAL 500 motel, which they ran together for the next 25 years. Anne and Joe were not only partners in life but in business and just celebrated their 53 year of marriage on April, 17th 2024. Anne is survived by her devoted husband Joseph C. Salerno, two daughters, Jaqueline Johnson and Kimberly Porterfield, two sons-in-law – Jimmy Johnson and Adam Porterfield, four beautiful grandchildren who called her Grammy – Tyler Johnson, Carli Johnson, Griffin Porterfield and Devon Porterfield, Aunt Pauline Deluca and brother-in-law Ronald Lucchini. Anne was not only a successful business owner for over 40 years but a devoted mother, the organizer (official title – "head witch") for over 31 years for Wild-wood's annual Halloween parade. She loved antiquing and spending time with her grandkids. Her bright light and infectious spirit will be remembered forever by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Anne will be greatly missed. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, April 25th at St. Ann's church, 2900 Atlantic Ave., Wild-wood Crest, NJ 08260. Viewing will be from 9:30-10:45am. Mass will start at 11:00 am.
