Re: ‘Beach Replenishment Expert Weighs in on North Wildwood’s Dilemma’

By Lisa Mertz, Wildwood

To the Editor:

Finally, someone explains the complexities and the ridiculousness of the problems in North Wildwood. Based on his credentials, I trust what Dr. Farrell had to say in his interview with Herald reporter Shay Roddy. I live in Pennsylvania, but have a home in Wildwood. I like to follow what goes on down there in the Herald. Much of it is disheartening when exposed.

Too often, any given side presents partial information. For example, the DEP claims North Wildwood went over wetlands – for shame! I’m appalled! Oh wait, it was 20 square feet of them with conditions Dr. Farrell described? What?! Are you kidding me?

Thank you, thank you, thank you for the article “Beach Replenishment Expert Weighs in on North Wildwood’s Dilemma.” It is the first piece that I’ve seen anywhere that really explained the situation.

Very good article. Thank you for pursuing this.
