PURDY, COLLEEN LILLIAN Colleen Lillian Purday, 61, of Wildwood, NJ, passed away suddenly on Thursday, July 27, 2023. Born in Niskayuna, NY to Marion Catherine Zautner Stearns and the late Willard Harry Stearns, she moved to Wildwood forty years ago from Schenectady, NY. With a passion for helping and taking care of people, she was a registered nurse at Cape Regional Medical Center for 30 years. A member of The Shore Club, formerly the Wildwood Golf and Country Club, Colleen enjoyed golfing with her husband and her friends. She always loved to cook and watch the Food Network. She had a great love for animals, but her greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her grandkids. Colleen is survived by her daughter Lindsey Kelly; her mother Marion Stearns; her siblings Christine Stomski, Willard "Jay" Harry Stearns, Jr. (Terri), and Timothy Ells Stearns (William Donovan); her stepchildren Edward D. Purdy IV (Sara) and Kelly Ann Linak (John); her grandchildren James Owens, Tristan Carboni, Hannah Purdy, Chloe Purdy, Riley Purdy, Delaney Purdy, Edward Purdy V, Zoe Linak, Jackson Linak, and Addison Linak. In addition to her father, Colleen was preceded in death by her husbands Edward "Buck" Donald Purdy, III and Michael Francis Kelly. Memorial service will be held on Friday, August 11, 2023 at 3:00 p.m. at the Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Avenue, Cape May Court House, NJ 08210, where visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Interment will be private.
