NORTH WILDWOOD – A regular meeting of the North Wildwood City Council was held in the evening of the above date in the City Hall.   The President of Council stated, “The meeting is now open.   Adequate notice of this meeting has been provided by posting a copy of the revised notice of the time and place of this meeting on the City Clerk’s bulletin board and by mailing a copy of the same to The Herald, The Press and Wildwood Leader on January 4, 2017.”
 
CITY CLERK JETT stated that the change of the date of this meeting from April 4 to April 5 has been advertised twice in both the City’s Official and Alternate Official Newspapers, and has been posted on the Bulletin Board in City Hall and on the City website since March 21, 2017.
 
ROLL CALL: Present were Mayor Patrick Rosenello, President of Council Salvatore Zampirri, Councilpersons Edwin Koehler, Margaret Bishop, Kellyann Tolomeo, James Kane, David Del Conte and Joseph Rullo.  Also present were Solicitor Andrew Cafiero and Engineer Ralph Petrella.
MINUTES:   On a motion by Koehler, seconded by Tolomeo, that the minutes of the regular meeting of March 21, 2017 be approved as read.  Carried.

ORDINANCE NO. 1714 – On a motion by Kane, seconded by Koehler, that Ordinance No. 1714 be placed on its first reading.  Carried.
The City Clerk read Ordinance No. 1714 by its title, known as “An Ordinance Amending Chapter 178, Bulkheads, Of The Code Of The City Of North Wildwood“.   
On a motion by Tolomeo, seconded by Kane, that Ordinance No. 1714 be passed on its first reading and published according to Law, the City Clerk called the roll, all voting in the affirmative, the President of Council declared Ordinance No. 1714 passed on its first reading.

COUNCIL:

 

CITY CLERK JETT stated that 90 years ago today Council received a petition from more than 200 residents of the 2nd Ward asking for a new Firehouse, which eventually resulted in the construction of the 15th Ave. Firehouse.  One Hundred ago this week Council resolved to hold a Special Election on a possible change from the Borough to the City form of government. 

PUBLIC:
 
Matthew Blew, 132 Woodland Avenue, Villas, asked Mayor and Council to consider allowing bikes and scooters in the skateboard park.  Blew has spoken with the manufacturer of the park, who states that the design is appropriate for bikes and scooters in addition to skateboards.  Mayor Rosenello asked Blew for the contact information and stated that Ron Simone will research the matter.

On a motion by Koehler, seconded by Tolomeo, that there being no further business before Council, we do now adjourn.  Carried.  5:17 PM.
