Pedestrian Hit by Vehicle in Ocean City

OCEAN CITY – A 69-year-old city man was taken to the hospital after being struck by a motor vehicle in the 200 block of 8th Street on May 28.

Police officers responded at approximately 7:27 a.m. that day to a report of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle. The man suffered serious injuries and was initially treated at the scene by police officers and members of the Ocean City Fire Department. The pedestrian was later transported to Atlantic City Regional Medical Center for further treatment.

The incident is being investigated by the Police Department’s Traffic Safety Unit. Anyone with information that can assist in the investigation can contact the Traffic Safety Unit at 609-525-9138.
