Where Are Answers?

By Hollis

To the Editor:
History tells us that the deterioration and decline of a society and indeed a nation does not happen overnight. Signs of the decline are often insidious but sometimes blatant. When good becomes bad, immorality becomes the “new” morality, normal becomes abnormal and civil respect gives way to discord, chaos and confusion, the deterioration is then visible. Powerful officials perpetuate the decline as they willingly give in to the pressures of certain special interests groups. These pressure groups, by their very nature and composition, champions evil, hate, discord, hedonistic perversions and a host of other destructive agendas.
Those that gleefully praise and promote things that cause declination and deterioration tend to wallow in the very byproducts of such decline and destruction while rabidly demonizing anyone who disagrees with them. Some might actually believe that they are doing the right thing, but to that end the failure to see the devastation and deterioration around them is in itself evidence of mental and moral corruption.
Discussions abound about the visible ruination of societies and no doubt those defending the deterioration and decline will become increasingly uproarious as they see victory for their causes at many levels of government and in the bowels of society. And those who decry the ruination of their towns, cities, society, states and the nation, seem to be fighting a losing battle. Like many, I have stated the obvious and have given no answers or remedies. I do not have any answers or remedies. Even if I did, I fear they would be too little, too late. Others might not be so hindered.
