To the Editor:
He is someone whose very existence enriches us all with his wonderful, great, fantastic, amazing feats of business acumen. Would that it were; in real life he is a pompous blowhard as ephemeral as the hot air that emanates from is oral cavity. He also appears to have the maturity of a kindergartener. When ‘little’ Marco Rubio offered the innuendo that Trump possessed small hands (another example of the type of maturity that plagues the Grand Old Party in recent decades) Mr. Trump feels compelled to brag that there is something very substantial “down there.”
Is this the kind of man who would serve the country well as its commander in chief, someone who feels it is appropriate to brag about the size of his manhood to the world in response to a childish jibe? A man who, when challenged by a woman, brushes off the legitimate question with the response that she must be menstruating.
Mr. Trump also distinguishes himself by how thin his skin is. When Mitt Romney criticizes his business acumen, he overreacts by turning what should have been a victory speech into an infomercial about the Trump empire. The emperor fills a table with but a few of his greatest feats of his brilliance in the business world. Wine from his own Trump Winery (the best wine in the world), Trump steaks (once gracing the pages of the Sharper Image catalog nearly a decade ago), the best water in the world, Trump Water and last and least Trump Magazine. The only problems are, he does not own, license his name to, or in fact have anything at all to do with the Trump Winery. (See this webpage: http://goo.gl/a12ulQ and scroll down to the bottom of the page for an explanation of his strong and ongoing involvement in the business of that winery).
The steaks that graced the table in his infomercial bore the labels of Bush Brothers, a Florida company that supplies steaks to various Trump properties in the Palm Beach area and has no connection to anything sold under the trademark “Trump Steaks.” (See http://goo.gl/jcgBkH).
And for the last and least, the grand Trump Magazine, which if you were lucky enough to get the copy that he threw at one of his supporters, you would have seen that it was simply a fancy sales brochure touting his various Palm Beach properties.
Is this really the kind of man who would serve the country well, or is he the kind of man who would respond inappropriately to any snub or challenge from a foreign leader, be they ally or enemy when what he says matters and has international ramifications. His childish behavior throughout this campaign does not bode well for a Trump presidency.
