To The Editor:
On Aug. 28, 2009, my father, my hero, celebrated his 92nd birthday. He was residing at Oceana Nursing Home in Court House. We brought cake, candles, balloons, grandchildren and great grandchildren. I think he enjoyed it. It turned out to be his last birthday, as on Sept. 20, (my birthday) he completed his work here and was taken home to heaven.
A few weeks after the funeral I was surfing on-line and came across something that jumped off the page at me. Glenn Beck presents, “Restore, Honor America,” at the steps of the Lincoln Memorial. Then the date Aug. 28, “The Birthday Party for the Plan.” When I read this, I knew I had to be there to honor our troops and to celebrate my Dad, who also was a U. S. Army veteran of WWII. How better to honor his memory than to be there?
Almost a year has gone by, along with tons of prayers, emails, letters, phone calls, tickets, questions and almost giving up many times, divine intervention kept pushing me steadily forward and finally, I was able to charter a bus and fill it with 53 patriots from as far away as Allentown, Pa., Norristown, Pa., Williamstown, Mullica Hill and right here in our great county of Cape May. We “R” The People, we will be there.
Our country is overflowing with patriots who understand why our founders wrote the Constitution and why our young soldiers are willing to put their lives on the line each day to maintain the integrity of it. We’ll be there with millions of Americans who just want to get off the couch, stand up and support our troops and our “One Nation Under God.”
Thanks everyone for your encouragement and support. And remember, “God has our back.”

Cape May – Governor Murphy says he doesn't know anything about the drones and doesn't know what they are doing but he does know that they are not dangerous. Does anyone feel better now?
