To The Editor:
By the time you read this letter, Obamacare may have already been passed. In the meantime, I continue to hope that this is not the case.
Passing Obamacare has to be the most ridiculous and corrupt process in American history. There have been pay-offs to senators, congressmEn and the unions. Some states have received preferential treatment in return for votes at the expense of others. This is the United States? Sounds like every man for themselves to me. To add insult to injury, our tax dollars are being used to pay for these favors and payoffs.
Our government has circumvented parliamentary rules and the Constitution has been violated. These actions are in direct violation of the oath of office our leaders took when elected to serve us.
Putting all of this aside, Obamacare is a nightmare for America and nothing more than a power grab and income re-distribution scheme on the part of a Socialist administration.
The costs of the program have been calculated using flawed math. Who in their right mind would cost a program by counting more years of revenue than years of expense? This is an accounting trick. What would be merely a financial drain for the first 10 years becomes an absolute nightmare when revenues and expenses are matched up on a year-to-year basis.
Medicare cuts and reductions in services should outrage seniors.
Government price setting, pre-existing condition changes and the level of additional expense to maintain this boondoggle will destine the insurance companies to failure.
This is exactly the game plan. The failure of the insurance companies in this country is just a step in the goal of the whole exercise, a single-payer system, which by the way has been a failure wherever it has been tried. Just ask someone from Canada or the United Kingdom.
Here is an example of how our government leaders view our intelligence and those of our elected representatives. Our Speaker of the House recently stated “We’ll need to pass the (Obamacare) bill first then see what’s in it.” Does she really think that those in elected office (or ourselves for that matter) are that stupid? Do we buy a house or car without seeing it? This is the height of arrogance and elitism.
Wake up, America, WE’re getting shafted here big time.
