To The Editor:
It’s election time and everyone is coming out of the woodwork to try and get your vote. Can’t blame ’em. But let’s be honest. Let’s weed out the misinformation that is out there.
Mike Voll wants to raise taxes on the small business owners in Middle. Is he kidding me? We are taxed enough. How do you explain that to the small business owner who has their own business and has to take a part-time job on the weekends just to afford their child’s medicine and to pay their medical bills?
Both parents are already working. They can’t afford test strips of diabetes, can afford the deductible for countless hospitalizations, and can’t afford the insulin.
I know I can tell them they need to give up their child to afford Mike Voll’s new taxes so he can get full benefits for his part time work.
My friends work over 80 hours a week. How do you explain those numbers to them?
Voll has a record of spend, spend, spend and not watching where our tax dollars are going. Let us not forget the fiasco over the “combined” senior citizen complex and the ambulances.
The voters of Middle approved a senior citizen complex, and then Voll “tried” to get it a combined building without the taxpayers voting on it.
Money was wasted on architectural plans, clearing land and other things, when the voters never voted on a combined building. Wasted tax dollars, your and mine. I cannot afford to have one cent wasted again. Not with Mike Voll, not with anyone.
