To The Editor:
In response to Art Hall’s “How do we get out of this mess?” there seems to be some obvious solutions. Just over half of all revenues collected by the federal government go to interest on previous wars and current military spending.
The Pelosi wing of the Democratic Party is as determined as Barak Obama and Bush to keep U.S. military bases in 140 countries funded. Bush doubled welfare spending in his first four years as president. Bush started handing out green cards at Latin American embassies allowing men who sign up to fight in Middle East wars to enroll their families into the U.S. welfare system.
The adult education system in the United States is television and newspapers that cue off the always pro-war, pro welfare New York Times. Former Gov. Jesse Ventura recently stated that the two-party system in America is the death of our nation. The spendaholic debt junkies who pretend to represent U.S. citizens as congressmen are destroying the dollar while giving tax incentives to multi-national corporations to export jobs. The pathetic field of Republican presidential candidates makes Obama a strong favorite in the upcoming presidential election.
Hall says we have a decision to make regarding limited federal government, but our current two- party system will never be able to stop the debt enslavement.
