On Labor Day weekend, my 6-year-old son asked if we could go to Play by the Bay (Sea Isle City Rec Area) to play. I said, “absolutely.” So I got him ready, my 17-month-old service dog (put on her service collar and her leash) and myself ready and off we went to Play by the Bay. When we arrived at the Rec area, I noticed a “No Dogs Allowed” sign, (which does not apply to my dog and me). We walked into rec area to be greeted by very nasty older gentlemen who was yelling at me to remove my dog (we were about 20 yards from him), so I walked up to him and informed him that she was a service dog. His reply to me was “Prove It” (like she is a dog in the circus and should do tricks).
I then became a little irritated and said, “I don’t need to prove it.” By this time he was being down right rude and ignorant. I told him my son was going to play on the playground and we were going to sit on the benches. He then said to me even more rudely than ever, “What part of no dogs on the playground don’t you understand? Get it out of here.”
By this time, my 6-year-old son is in tears and crying. I was so very mad at this point that I just turned around and left.
Sea Isle City employees, and those who are hired from an outside company to represent Sea Isle City, should be made aware of the federal rules, and regulations for service animals. I just wanted Sea Isle to be aware of this because if they were to deny the wrong person they could end up in some big trouble.

Cape May – Governor Murphy says he doesn't know anything about the drones and doesn't know what they are doing but he does know that they are not dangerous. Does anyone feel better now?
