Their Real Legacies

In his State of the Union Address Jan. 29, 2002, George Bush identified North Korea, Iran and Iraq as the “axis of evil.” These three countries use terrorism to intimidate us and seek weapons of mass destruction. They hate America because of the freedoms our citizens enjoy and the diversity of our culture.  They are obsessed with destroying us.
George Bush understood that conversation, economic promises and giving away untold billions of our tax dollars has never and will never change that hatred and obsession.  That insight was never understood by Bill Clinton and Barack Obama.
On Oct. 18, 1994, Bill Clinton announced that “After 16 months of intense and difficult negotiations with North Korea, we have completed an agreement that will make the United States, the Korean Peninsula, and the world safer. Under the agreement, North Korea has agreed to freeze its existing nuclear program and to accept international inspection of all existing facilities.” 
In late 2015, Barack Obama told us America had a very similar nuclear agreement with Iran. But, President Obama didn’t require Iranian leaders to sign this nuclear deal and his administration acknowledged on Nov. 1, 2015 that “the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) is not a treaty or an executive agreement, and is not a signed document.”  Iran is not bound by anything in this non-agreement.
The chair of a House Foreign Relations sub-committee said recently “Iran and North Korea have a history of collaboration on military programs and have long been suspected of collaborating on nuclear related programs,” noting that the JCPOA deal provides Iran the cash to purchase advanced nuclear technology.
Yet, our incompetent president is ready to lift sanctions on Iran as early as this month. His claim that the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) must confirm that Iran has met the conditions required before sanctions are lifted is a very sick joke.  The IAEA must go to the Parchin military facility southeast of Tehran before verifying anything.  As of Jan. 7, 2016, Iran has refused inspectors’ access to Parchin.  The White House says that lifting sanctions will provide what it calls “the largest state supporter of terrorism,” Iran, access to about $56 billion if it pays outstanding obligations, more if it doesn’t. How many acts of terror against America, Israel and other allies will that buy?  How many innocents will it kill? 
Hillary Clinton wants to be president. As secretary of state under Obama, she claimed to reset relations with Russia.  The result has been Putin taking over areas in other countries and walking all over our weak and ineffective president.  The recent nuclear test explosions by North Korea prove that Bill Clinton was a fool.  Obama’s pretending that Iran is meeting conditions of a non-agreement proves that he also is a fool.   If elected, Hillary would continue the process begun by her two Democratic predecessors, endangering America.  That is the real legacy of these three and of liberals, Democrats, socialists, etc., who believe that all differences can be resolved through conversation. 
Military strength and leaders who understand and retain the upper hand in the real world are needed to save our America.  But, we cannot wait for a new president to end this danger.  Call those who represent you in Congress now and demand that they stop Obama from lifting sanctions against Iran.  If they don’t, tell them that their legacy is tied to Obama’s legacy, the first administration to be complicit in funding the deaths of Americans through terrorism.
