New Jersey has an exceedingly high rate of brain drain – to the tune of 31,000 New Jersey students annually leaving the state to attend college and only 4,000 out-of-state students coming into New Jersey to attend college.
State taxes are already among the highest in the nation. There is no excuse why tax bills are so high, yet residents still must pay for higher education.
In order to combat this brain drain and create a skilled workforce, the New Jersey constitution must be amended so that a free four-year and beyond college education is a guaranteed right of all citizens, just like the K-12 system.
Until New Jersey makes a free public college education system a reality, we will see the state continue a downward spiral away from prosperity and the class gap continue to widen.
Cape May – Governor Murphy says he doesn't know anything about the drones and doesn't know what they are doing but he does know that they are not dangerous. Does anyone feel better now?
