Thanks Couple For Selfless Act Of Genuine Kindness

By Mahon

To The Editor:
My Dad and his five brothers served in World War ll, my Mom was an army nurse in this war and my father-in-law also served. My husband is a Viet Nam Vet who served as a medic.
How can I not thank Mr.and Mrs. Robert Baker for their selfless act of genuine kindness after reading the article in the Aug. 7 Herald. We are also new to the area, and I was unfamiliar with the Memory Lane War Memorial in Wildwood. So, thank you both for all your hard work. You are angels.
I was saddened to read about the woman with the dog and her cruel behavior. So many people are so angry all the time. I am just happy she did not deter you from your loving gift to our veterans. May you enjoy your retirement.
