To The Editor:
My husband and I went shopping today, Sept. 7, at Shop Rite in Rio Grande.
While in the store, our tethered dog jumped out of one of the open windows of our work truck, and into the parking lot.
A couple, which was parked next to us, did a tremendous thing. The husband kept the dog from getting in the way of other vehicles in the lot, while the woman went into the store and looked all over for me.
I happened to be wearing a very distinctive shirt, so she was walking very quickly through the store, trying to find me. She did find me, and told me about our dog having gotten out of the truck.
I was very grateful for her telling me. I was even more grateful that she and her husband postponed their shopping to take care of a wayward dog.
I want to say thank you. We appreciate what you have done for us. God bless you.
