To The Editor:
When I’m wrong I’m wrong. I wish more politicians would do likewise. I owe a very sincere apology to former Middle Township Mayor Mike Voll. Please consider this my public apology.
Having resided in Middle Township for over 33 years, my family has enjoyed many years of Voll’s administration of our township. The years following former Mayor DiVico were progressive under Voll’s administration. Tax rates remained stable and many improvements were made in public safety, public works, recreation and the administration at large. Our family has missed that era and we will do our part to return Voll to office.
The apology I refer to involved me taking part in Voll’s recall years ago. Others in the township who had a personal axe to grind with Voll misled me, and I am extremely embarrassed for having done so. I was wrong and am writing this letter to those who I may have unfairly influenced previ-ously. I was wrong.
I am publicly asking candidate Voll to forgive me as I am heartily sorry and wish him and his family good health and happiness. Sixteen years as former mayor, and 18 years serving on the township committee speaks positive volumes for all he has accomplished previously and all he has to offer in these most difficult times.
Best wishes in the upcoming election and we look forward to positive changes in Middle Town-ship for all of our future.
