To the Editor:
The upcoming election finally gives Middle Township voters a chance to break the mold. Bill Sturm as a newcomer offers a refreshing change from the politically connected, to one of us who is willing to serve his community.
Sturm is being attacked for his public speaking skills. Bill is a regular person whose honesty and sincerity shine well above any interpreted shortcomings. His every stance from asking for equity in the reassessments, to services and surplus, have all been skewed by his opponents.
Bill Sturm has offered time and again that all doors should be open. He is not rigid to any one plan. Everyone has a right to be represented but not to be the only ones represented. The business sector, along with their political attorneys have had control of our community for far too long. No one will deny that governing is business but it is also to represent the many thousand of folks who call Middle Township home.
If zoning, planning and things of that nature are to constantly reflect a business view, our very quality of life is threatened. My grandparents came here many years ago because of our beautiful seashore/country environment. My father (Sam Kelly) commuted to Philadelphia in the early years of raising his family so we could stay here and benefit from all that this unique area offers.
Bill Sturm is coming forth to represent the people of Middle Township and will direct the professional staff to handle it’s business. I am very excited in looking forward to a return to representation “for the people”. I am urging all those who live here because they choose to live here, to choose Bill Sturm to represent the “people” of our many neighborhoods.
