To the Editor:
America is the land of opportunity. Despite what they tell you, you can come from a financially challenged family (in both White and Black communities) and become whatever you want.
Look at some of the paid athletes, movie stars, politicians, etc. It all depends on the individual (not skin color). Work hard, make good decisions, keep a good attitude, and surround yourself with good people who want you to succeed.
A soul can be born with every advantage and lose it all. It all depends on you. Your attitude is more important than your race, gender, or social class.
When I hear systemic racism today, I hear excuses. It creates self-pity and despair. There was a time it was very real (sad but true). The civil rights movement brought systemic reform.
We can’t judge people who lived 250 years ago by the moral standards today and erase the progress made. We must reject the poison that’s crippling a generation: White privilege, unconscious racism, microaggression, and that America benefits Whites only.
It’s the lies the left use to keep a generation from being self-reliant and to make them dependent on the government. Real Americans know (a soul has no color).
