To The Editor:
Wake up, Cape May County; here we go again with another Barbara Skinner fiasco. Her “save everything” syndrome ends up stiffing the poor taxpayers and some victimized businessperson who could be bringing jobs into the area.
First, she was the driving force to save an old eyesore movie house, which already was a failed business, and then she interjected herself into the Ponderlodge project that already was in the process of becoming a world-class bird sanctuary, but now is in limbo thanks to Skinner.
It won’t take a rocket scientist to see what her solarium intervention will cost, and Sen. Jeff Van Drew has proved one of her enablers, the liberal mindset run amok, and always at taxpayer expense; i.e., so called “grants.” Has anybody inquired whether Skinner helped guarantee the Cape May City loan for the movie house project, and if she paid up her share of that loan when it was called in?
This is the liberal mindset that got us into this current financial mess still plaguing the nation. It is time to vote out those who still support it.
